Course Overview:

This micro-credential is a transformative educational experience designed to equip professionals with the knowledge, tools, and compassion needed to prevent, recognize, and respond to Human Trafficking (HT) and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) in the United States.

Originally launched in 2017 in partnership with Lee Health as a continuing education training for healthcare professionals, the program has since expanded its reach. Now, through a meaningful partnership between Christy’s Cause and FGCU, WeCare is offered as a Digital Badge Program and stands out for its deeply human approach, cross-sector relevance, and content shaped by both expert insight and survivor voices.

This expansion now reaches a wide audience including healthcare professionals, school-based professionals, law enforcement officers, resort and hospitality industry professionals, nonprofits serving vulnerable populations, and university students preparing for service-based careers.
